6 – Lo que nadie nos dice al emprender con Martha Silva de @conexionamericas?

Muchas de las historias, y mucho del contenido que existe sobre el significado de emprender, casi siempre se enfoca en las historias de éxito. Rara vez estas historias incluyen recomendaciones o perspectivas sobre los retos y dificultades que el cualquier viaje de emprendimiento representa; la adversidad, los imprevistos, las ideas falsas de lo que significa ser un emprendedor. En este episodio abarcamos algunas de esas realidades, lo que nadie nos cuenta. Nuestra invitada es Martha Silva, la directora ejecutiva de Conexión Americas. Ella comparte sus propias perspectivas, sus propias lecciones, y experiencias trabajando con emprendedores latinos a lo largo de su carrera profesional.

Many of the stories and much of the content that exists out there about entrepreneurs, almost always focuses on the success stories of those entrepreneurs. However, we rarely hear about the tribes a tribulation of those entrepreneurs, the adversity the have to face and the ‘secrets’ behind an entrepreneurial journey. In this episode, we discuss some of those realities that ‘no one ever tell us’. . Our guest today is the Executive Director of Conexion Americas, Martha Silva. She shares her own perspectives on those lessons she has learned from working with Latino Entrepreneurs over her career.

5 – Modelo de negocio con el empresario @HeryGarofalo

Muchos empresarios estan familiarizados con el concepto del plan de negocio – el documento que contiene los objectivos y operaciones de la empresa, y las estrategias que los negocios siguen para lograr sus metas. Escuchemos a Jose y a Frank hablar sobre las diferentes secciones de un plan de negocio y resaltar los elementos que lo hacen un documento eficiente y util. Ellos contrastan la diferencia de un plan de negocio y un plan de negocio. El empresario Hery Garofalo comparte sus experiencias y ofrece algunos consejos.

Join Jose and Frank to discuss what are the parts and highlights of a well crafted business plan.  They contrast the  difference between the business plan and the business model. Entrepreneur Hery Garofalo shares his entrepreneurial journey, and lessons learned.

4 – Inmunes al fracaso con Marcela Gomez de @cultureshiftteam

Cuando aprendemos de emprendedores famosos, casi siempre se resaltan las historias de éxito, pero pocas veces oímos ejemplos y enseñanzas de ‘cuando las cosas no van saliendo bien’.

En este episodio abarcamos un tema que podría parecernos un poco negativo, pero que es uno de los temas que mejor nos prepara para ser buenos emprendedores; el tema del fracaso. Aunque a nadie le gusta ‘fracasar’, los retos y obstáculos que como emprendedores afrontamos son fundamentales, y una pieza primordial en cualquier emprendimiento.  

El fracaso nos ofrece la oportunidad de aprender. Es una lección en adaptabilidad, es un motivador eficaz. El fracaso no es siempre una reflexión de la habilidad o el valor de una persona.  Es simplemente una parte del viaje de emprendimiento. El tener una actitud de aprendizaje y crecimiento es ingrediente primordial para lograr tus metas como Latino Emprendedor.

 

When we hear stories about famous entrepreneurs, we frequently highlight the stories of those who have been successful but often leave out the examples of ‘when things do not go well’. 

In this episode, we cover a topic that could be perceived as negative, but that is necessary to help us understand a very real step of the entrepreneurial process: Failure! It’s true, no one likes to fail, but the challenges and obstacles that we face as entrepreneurs are fundamental and a necessary evil for most entrepreneurial endeavors.

Failure offers the entrepreneur the opportunity to learn. It’s a lesson in adaptability, it’s an effective motivator. Failure is not a reflection of someone’s abilities or worth. It’s simply a part of the journey. Having a growth and learning mindset is an essential ingredient to achieve your goals as an entrepreneur.

3 – ¿Cómo es un Latino Emprendedor? Características personales.

Muchos investigadores han estudiado las características primordiales que identifican a alguien que tiene una mente de emprendimiento. En este episodio analizamos algunas de ellas- la determinación y perseverancia, la capacidad de ambigüedad, el empuje, la orientación a la búsqueda de oportunidades, y la resolución de problemas constante entre otras. ¿Y usted Qué opina? ¿Qué nos faltó? ¿Con que características te identificas tu?

Many researchers have studied some of the main personality traits of entrepreneurially minded people. In this episode, we talk about some of them: determination and perseverance, the capacity to operate in ambiguity, the personal drive, the orientation towards seeking opportunities, and constant problem solving are only a few of these characteristics. 2 – Idea Vs. Oportunidad. Una cosa no es como la otra

Todos tenemos muchas ideas creativas, algunas veces creemos que esas ideas podrían convertirse en buenos negocios, pero, ¿cómo saber si una idea tiene el potencial de ser en realidad un oportunidad de negocio? 

En este episodio hablamos de ideas y oportunidades. ¿Cuál es la diferencia entre estas dos palabras y  cómo podemos entrenar a nuestra mente para identificar oportunidades de mercado?   Frank y José conversan sobre las fuentes de estas oporutnidades. Y tu ¿ qué piensas?
